Gary Butcher

Chief Executive Officer

Gary is the founder of Exact Financial Systems and continues to lead the company on a day to day basis. Gary started his career in 1985, working for L Messel & Co, a City stockbroker. He then went on to positions at Midland Bank, Prudential and then ACT Financial Systems until 1995 when he founded Exact.

Having now spent over 30 years in the industry, Gary participates in all aspects of client sales and implementations as well as consulting on product development. When not working, Gary can be found tinkering with classic cars, relaxing on his boat, cooking, DIY or learning how to play the saxophone.

Alex Dodd

Business Development Director

Alex qualified as a Charted Accountant with PwC in London before working in a number of financial offshore centres. On returning to the UK he worked for HSBC before moving into the financial software industry by joining ACT Financial Systems where he worked with Gary. He then moved to DST International where he was Director of Consultancy. In 2009 Gary asked him to join the Exact Board to further grow Exact into the position it is today

When relaxing Alex can be found snow shoeing in the Swiss Mountains or in other parts of the world he has not yet visited.

Andrew Dodd

Technical Services Director

Andrew started with Exact in 2008 as a junior technical consultant and is now responsible for all technical delivery in terms of software and hosted infrastructure. Andrew concentrates on keeping up to date with the latest technologies and cybersecurity toolkits.

Outside the office, Andrew enjoys travelling, fine cuisine, attending live music events and playing pool. Andrew also likes to keep fit in the gym and he is a keen runner.

Sarah Johnson

Client Services Director

Sarah brings a wealth of experience within Finance, Marketing and Sales with particular focus on Relationship Management gained from over 15 years within Citigroup. Prior to Citigroup, Sarah worked for various organisations such as Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse and started her career at Chase Manhattan Bank.

Following a break from the workplace to become a mum and focus on running a family she joined Exact to focus on building the business and work within the implementation team. Sarah still enjoys all her busy responsibilities as well as her favourite pastimes of School Parents Association, fine wines, charitable roles and days out with family.
